Greg's Story

Cancer Recovery Foundation’s founder Greg Anderson was terminally diagnosed with cancer in 1984. Greg survived – and has since devoted his life to helping others survive cancer too.
Greg Anderson is the Founder and CEO of Cancer Recovery Foundation, a non-profit organization with a mission to help all people prevent and survive cancer.
Greg was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer in 1984. His surgeon told him he had just 30 days to live. Refusing to accept the hopelessness of this prognosis, Greg went searching for people who had lived, even though their doctors had told them they were “terminal.” His findings from interviews  with more than 16,000 cancer survivors form the strategies and action points for what has become an international movement.
Cancer Recovery Foundation focuses on the non-medical aspects of cancer prevention and survival. Its award-winning “integrated cancer care” model combines nutrition, attitude, exercise, social support and spirituality with conventional medical care.
Greg is widely recognized for his writings, which include The Cancer Conqueror, Cancer: 50 Essential Things to Do, The 22 (Non-Negotiable) Laws of Wellness and Cancer and the Lord’s Prayer. His books have been translated into 33 languages.
